Gulplug showcased the SELFPLUG automatic electric vehicle connection and the Always On SELFPLUG service at the énergiQ Montréal event, held from February 3 to 5, 2026.

This was a key opportunity to demonstrate the essential role SELFPLUG plays in accelerating the energy transition.

The event also provided the opportunity to build strategic partnerships and secure international funding, with the goal of proving that SELFPLUG withstands the harshest climatic conditions and that Always On SELFPLUG is a highly competitive alternative—transforming electric vehicle batteries into a distributed electricity storage solution, rather than relying on centralized stationary battery plants.

Gulplug also met with key stakeholders from Hydro-Québec and the National Research Council of Canada (NRC) to advance its projects.
